The Assistant Professor of Food Marketing will teach classes, create and participate in a variety of learning activities that provide opportunities for students to develop to their fullest potential and achieve learning objectives. The incumbent will develop and execute a scholarly agenda as evidenced by published contributions to the scholarship of the field. They will work collaboratively and professionally with other faculty and staff to promote the general well-being of the department, college, and university. The Assistant Professor will support and seek always to fulfill the guiding principles and mission of Saint Joseph's University.

This is a full-time, 9-month, tenure-track position.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Possession of a doctorate in the individual's area of expertise at an accredited institution or ABD with clear evidence of progress. Relevant degrees include but are not limited to marketing.

• Demonstrated potential as an effective teacher and productive scholar at the college or university level

• Candidates must have a research program in some aspect of the food industry industry broadly defined. This can include anything from retailing, cpg, food and beverage, manufacturing, supply chain, nutrition, judgment and decision making, consumer psychology, etc. The department is open to any methodological expertise for this position.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior academic (teaching and research) experience

• Possess a minimum of  3-5 years of relevant food and cpg industry experience to complement their academic achievements; teaching and research in the candidates’ areas of expertise are preferred.
